Nothing bad to say, i loved this hostel! I have been many different hostels before but this was so unique experience. Staff was so friendly and helpful, there was many kitchens, livingrooms, toilet and showers was good and also free sunscreen!! Thank you so much! <3

HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Dreamtime was definitely a choice I am glad that I made. It was clean, comfortable and the amenities, especially the pool and kitchen, were great. I felt right at home. Also, the staff were incredible. Tim especially went well and truly above and beyond to help me to problem solve a very stressful phone situation. I could not have asked for more.

My stay was exceptional, on all levels. Peter was friendly and more than accommodating, the place was spotless clean, and I very much appreciated the upgraded room, If you're thinking of staying here, it comes with my highest of recommendation.

Refurbished in May, 2018, Mad Monkey Village featuresa TV, a kitchen, bathrooms with air-conditioners in every room. There is also an outdoor swimming pool. Free WiFi provided.

Absolutely loved my stay here! Everything was kept incredibly clean—the rooms, bathrooms, and even the bed linens were spotless. The mattress and pillow were super comfortable, making it easy to relax after a long day. The air conditioning in the room was a huge plus. The kitchen setup was amazing—plenty of space, well-equipped, and a great system for keeping food organized. The pool was a great spot to chill, and the location was very convenient. Would definitely stay here again!

The staff here (shout-out to Luke!!) was amazing! So friendly, kind, and willing to make my accommodation as smooth and seamless as possible. On several occasions, I had help with my luggage and friendly faces to guide me to where I needed to go. The area is top tier and within walking distance to everything you'd need - the rooms are gorgeous and comfy. Would definitely come back again!

Ideally located in the scenic and quieter area of the Esplanade- away from the noise of the clubs, bars and traffic- but only an easy 10 minute walk to the main attractions, the Pier and Cairns City...

The staff were so lovely, helpful and kind... really wonderful people. My room was clean and comfortable and had all I needed. The location was superb for everything. Ate at the attached Indonesian restaurant each evening, really lovely people and food. Loved my stay and visit.

Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 10/10 I had the best time staying at Summer House Cairns! I was in the 8-bed female dorm and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The room was clean and comfy and there are lockers for your personal stuff. There was always something going on making it super easy to meet new people and really enjoy the Cairns vibe. The free shuttle to town was super convenient, and the overall atmosphere was social, laid-back, and super welcoming. Huge shoutout to Carmen and Alisha for making the stay extra special! They were always helpful and friendly, helping me out with finding my way around the place and helping me with extending my stay. If you’re heading to Cairns and want a fun, social, and well-run hostel, Summer House is the place. I’d go back in a heartbeat!

room and bathroom facilities are all very clean. the location is great: across the street from a huge shopping mall, in walking distance from the beach, as well as train and bus stations, and several restaurants nearby. also offers a kitchen area and tables to sit at in case you don’t want to stay in your room; good place to socialize and get to know others. the place is also very aesthetically pleasing. late check-in worked perfectly, the staff was really helpful and friendly.
