I loved how relaxing and peaceful the hostel is. Fabulous views and scenery and lots of birds. The sound of the river and non-existent light polution made for a perfect getaway. Friendly staff and a bargain meal & dessert.

The hostel is very centrally located in Grasmere and provides basic but clean accommodation. The room was small but warm and ample, whilst showers and kitchen facilities were all good. There are numerous lounge areas whilst staff were all very friendly. Car parking was provided free of charge.

Our first hostel stay. Super friendly greeting by Zoe. All staff made us feel very welcome. Place was very clean. Lots of different areas to sit. Plenty of room. Lots of other guests but never felt crowded. Well equipped kitchen. Excellent location. We chose to stay an extra night.

The location beside a river is great. Too bad it was winter n we have to close our door. Our river facing balcony would be great in the summer. Receptionist is friendly and the house keeper is quick to help us with adjusting our room thermostat.

Great location, free parking, well equipped kitchen *if a bit small for the amount of rooms* Staff super friendly. Would stay again but only short stays because you don't really sleep in a hostel. Met some strangers and still had a ball.

Great location lovely setting. Great weekend. The only thing was the beds were not very comfortable I’m sure I paid £220 for 2 nights I just expected the beds/mattresses to be a bit more comfortable that’s all just being honest but I suppose it’s a hostel and not a 5 star hotel. 👍

Excellent hostel. Everything was extremely clean, common spaces (2 self-catering kitchens, lounge) were great. Plenty of shared toilets/showers. Beds and pillows are very comfortable. It was very quiet during my stay. The staff were very friendly and gave good tips for hiking paths. Great location. I cannot recommend it enough.
