Sooo comfortable and cosy! Double beds and private sections in the dorm make it feel like you almost have your own room. The kotatsu heated tables are a godsend. The owner is super sweet and makes tasty cheap meals if you don't feel like going out. Location is perfect, next to the station (and bus stop for Snow Monkeys, ski resort) as well as a convenient Lawson. There's water, tea and coffee and a fridge for guests. You get a free ticket to the local onsen! And Koharu the dog will take endless head scratches!

Wonderful experience! The staff members were all so kind and made sure I had a wonderful stay. The facilities are also great, and the rooms were so comfortable. Next time I find myself in Nagano I'll definitely be staying here again!

beautiful wooden building with a unique charm. there was a small garden inside the buildong that we could see from our room on the second floor. we got the 6-person family room and it was very spacious with enough space outside the main sleeping area to store bags.
