Bit of a walk from kii-Tanabe station but a lovely host with dorm like bedrooms, and a place to rest your head before taking on a walk to the mountains the next day. Very close quarters but a great budget option.

I came late with the train from Osaka and the lovely host Juan met me at the station and escorted me to the hotel (which is right by the station). Nice, clean room. I was going on the Kumano Kodo the next day and the hostel is right by the busstop and touristinformation. I highly recommend this place, it had a charming feel to it.

The host was very friendly and helpful. We arrived at the location fairly late, but it was not a problem. Our room was spacious and the common area was great for resting and chatting with other guests. I think the place is both in a great spot and good value for your money.

The owners were very helpful and friendly. The beds were comfortable. The well equipped shared kitchen is spacious and offers a large fridge with freezer as well as a table for having dinner with four people. We would definitely come back. It is only a short drive to the zoo and other activities as well as shirahama beach and the beautiful coastline.
