There is a great and friendly atmosphere. Ideal to make friends. There are organised trips, hikes and walks so perfect for solo travelers. The staff is very helpful and the free breakfast is amazing. Finally, the beds are very comfortable

Very friendly and helpful hosts, extremely helpful service personell that was also preparing great breakfast and dinner :) The host was replying via whatsapp super quick and ensuring we always had a tuktuk driver to get to the location and giving great recommendations for day trips. Be aware the hostel is approx. 20/25 mins from Ella center and the last part of the road is not paved, but a fun adventure :) We felt very welcome! Thank you!

I absolutely loved my stay here. It’s out of town but that’s what made it so special, it was so peaceful. It had a beautiful view out into the rice fields and mountains and the walk along the train tracks was beautiful. The building itself was so cute and included brekky and dinner! Plenty to do around.

We like the hospitality, the kindness of the hosts, they are very helpfull and very attentive to their customers. The place is awesome with a wonderful view. It is in the mountain, in the nature, you have a lot of walks possible, and you have tea trees everywhere. You can walk to reach some beautiful places around. It is a wonderful place you can see animals and hear the birds. The food is the best meal we had in Sri Lanka. Honestly it would be a mistake to not taste it. Thank you for everything it was much more than expected.

The hostel was Super clean and it was a great deal for the price i paid and the view from the rooftop was incredible ⛰️🌲🌳🏕️ The location was perfect, near the city and close to the restaurants, popular attractions and everything The owner was super nice and helpful and he helps you whenever he can. And he gave me free coffee and local sweets 🤗

We had an amazing stay at 4 Axes Hotel! The food was delicious with both Sri Lankan and Western options. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The room was clean, spacious, and very comfortable, perfect for relaxing after exploring Ella.

The owner Dilan is incredibly accommodating and helpful! The Hostel is a bit remote (although little adams peak and nine arch bridge are in walking distance), but that's not a problem at all because Dilan kindly offered to take me everywhere by tuk tuk. He picked me up when I arrived in Ella and drove me literally everywhere I wanted in Ella throughout my stay. He was available at any time, totally uncomplicated and very reliable! A perfect host! Also, Dilan is too modest to admit it, but he's a great cook! We ate with him every morning (breakfast was included) and evening and everything was delicious! The dorm is very basic and still in process, but absolutely okay for the price!

It was a very lovely stay here, Shiva the manager did everything he could to make sure I had a nice stay at his hostel. His level of hospitality is tremendous. The breakfast was very tasty and the dorm is comfortable!
