For two days, I felt at home! The owner isn't your typical businessman who's just out to make a profit, but a sweet and warm person who cares about your experience. He cooks excellent traditional Sri Lankan dishes and can give you all the tips you need on the most unmissable places to visit in the city and the country. My stay at Diamond Shine Hostel was an absolutely wonderful experience. What I liked most about this property was the exceptional hospitality and boundless cooperation I received from the owners. They made me feel truly welcome, even offering tea and coffee, which was a lovely gesture. A situation arose where I forgot my power bank in a taxi, and they went above and beyond to help me contact the taxi driver and retrieve it. They even took me in their own car to assist with this matter. Mr. Mahesh was incredibly respectful and kind, as were his daughter and wife. Their entire family made me feel right at home, and I received nothing but kindness and wonderful treatment from them. In short: A fantastic place with incredibly hospitable staff and family, always ready to help with respect and kindness, and thoughtful touches like offering tea and coffee. I highly recommend this place!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Amazing stay with the best host! Had a wonderful experience at Bunty’s! The free pickup from Kandy was super convenient, and Bunty himself was incredibly friendly and helpful throughout the stay. The room was clean, comfortable, and had everything I needed. The location was peaceful yet close enough to the main attractions. Great value for money — highly recommend this place for anyone visiting Kandy!

The breakfast was great. I requested dinner and they provided it, and it was nice, though slightly more expensive than I would have wanted. The place itself is really really beautiful and comfortable, it was quite incredible. The staff is friendly and helpful too. Tuk tuk drivers generally speaking tend to know where it is located, so it's easy to move around as well.

Nice hostel, maybe not the most social one but still nice, rooms were clean. Unfortunately there was a guy snoring like an absolute airplane so I didnt get any sleep and decided to leave the hostel the next morning, they gave me my money back for the next night which was already payed without hesitation which is a huge +++++

Very clean and nice hostel, stayed for only one night. Train station is a bit far if you are carrying a heavy backpack but there are tuktuks everywhere that you can take. I really enjoyed my stay and the owners are so kind!
