Curiocity is a great place to meet both local people and travelers. It is well located in Maboneng Precinct, a a creative, vibrant neighbourhood where we felt safe moving around. The staff are extremely friendly, attentive and dedicated. We really appreciated their help getting tours and rooms reserved and finding places. Although there are many activities in the night, we did not find our room noisy at all.

Traveling for the first time into this part of "historical" South Africa and after hearing about the negative stuff, I wasn't sure how it will be, but "Lungi" made it a "smooth" ride. He knows many people around and will help you out in getting rid of the negative perceptions/stereotypes you have about this place. He can also spontaneously organize tours and guide you in showing different places around Jo'burg/Soweto. After staying here, I can say that staying here was better than in staying in Jo'burg. The room & the toilets are clean...and no mosquitoes (at least inside the room). So, it was a learning & a great stay! :)
