Company information

Daravand is owned and run by Razmik and Meline since 2006. It is our only property, and every detail—from the terrace woodwork to the breakfast jam—is handled with intention. With backgrounds in oriental studies, photography ,development and life experience across Armenia, Iran, Europe and beyond, we’ve built Daravand to reflect what we believe matters: authentic hospitality, cultural depth, and natural beauty. We speak multiple languages, love poetry, music, and photography—and we enjoy real conversations with our guests. Razmik’s early passion for woodwork and photography is visible throughout the guesthouse, while Meline expresses her creativity through food, hosting, and the overall soul of the space. We’ve hosted painters, musicians, thinkers, businessmen, yoga enthusiasts, activists, scientists and …. Some guests come for a short stay and return for long friendships. Daravand is not a business project—it’s our home and way of life. And we’re happy to share it with those who appreciate honest comfort, human connection, and the quiet beauty of Armenia’s forests.

Property information

Daravand is not your typical Armenian guesthouse. It’s a place where natural simplicity, artistic spirit, and genuine hospitality come together in one of Dilijan’s calmest corners—tucked between forest trails, mountain views, and birdsong. Since 2006, Daravand has quietly become a favorite among Armenian artists, writers, musicians, and travelers seeking depth and quiet. It blends bohemian warmth, slow-living values, and authentic Armenian hosting into one intimate experience. The guesthouse includes six individually styled rooms and one private cottage, each crafted with natural materials like handmade wood, local stone, and iron, with soft textiles in earthy tones. No TVs. No bright lights. Just stillness, comfort, and thoughtful design. Guests can dine inside or outdoors in the yard, surrounded by mountain views and the sound of birds. A yard restaurant showcases local artisan work and offers an open-air, relaxed setting to enjoy the flavors of the region. Meline’s kitchen is at the heart of Daravand. Cooking with seasonal ingredients from nearby farms, she prepares soulful meals blending Armenian tradition and improvisation—like her farm chicken, beef in house-made Roquefort sauce, zucchini cutlets, and the beloved Daravand breakfast inspired by both Armenian and Soviet morning culture. Shared spaces include a cozy lounge, large multipurpose hall weher you can watch movies, do yoga classes or hold meetings , and game room with darts, billiards, and table soccer. Outside, Razmik’s handcrafted wooden terrace—affectionately called The Nest—offers a stunning view of the forest and a space for long talks, stillness, or shared meals. Daravand is ideal also to host small sized business meetings and retreats. For explorers, the Medieval Monasteries Trail begins just 2.8–2.9 km away, with Matosavank and Jukhtak Monasteries reachable on foot through forest paths. Whether you're reconnecting with nature, reflecting in silence, or sharing stories with strangers who feel l
