The first floor Loft is a self-contained private space formed by joining two old loft volumes into one to create one unit with it's own seperate entrance on the ground floor. The Loft offers a haven of rest for anyone staying there. It has all the necessary amenities, kitchenette, bathroom with wc, whb and bath with shower, a sleeping area with a large comfortable kingsize double bed, dining area, seating area with flat screen TV and a sunny south facing terrace for a ideal relaxing stay. The Apartment is on the ground floor of a renovated house to the front of the property with an access from the street as well as at the rear within the enclosed courtyard. It has all the necessary amenities, kitchenette, bathroom with wc, whb and bath with shower, dining area for 4, a living area with flat screen TV and a sunny south facing enclosed terrace for relaxing stay. It contains two bedrooms each with large comfortable kingsize double beds.
I studied for nursing but worked most of my career in teaching. I am now retired. I am interested in art and all that goes with it including interior design! I married an Irish architect, one of my son's is an interior designer/sculptor and my daughter has also recently qualified as an architect. I therefore see, feel and live art each day!
Varsenare (Loft & Apartment) is the first village east of Bruges and was previously part of the city agglomeration. It is 5km from the city gates of Bruges (Smedepoort) and 6km from the main market square with the Belfort. Varsenare village is next to one of the main wooded areas (nature park) of Bruges called Beisbroek which also joins to Tillegembos. It is ideally placed for cyclists wishing to enjoy the polder areas of West-Flanders and for car tourists wishing to visit Ostend, the Belgian seaside (De Haan), Ypres (World War 1) and the city of Ghent. The French international border city of Lille is very close as well as the Dutch border with Sluis & Cadzand.
