The hospice is the annex building of the old presbytery, located in the largest fruit-growing region of Western Europe. It has served as a relief center for the poor and needy of Mettekoven, later as a town-hall and as a permanent location for clubs. The hospice itself is a renovation / reconstruction of 1859. The hospice is several decades older.
Haspengouw, in the middle of the fruit growing region of the province of Limburg, has everything from castles, picturesque villages to farmsteads. It provides fairytale backdrop of flowers and endless views from the hills for a relaxing holiday. Hiking, biking, walking, culture and gastronomy, silence, nature and driving around, it’s all possible in Haspengouw. This holiday home, next to the Church of an authentic very small Flemish village, in the middle of the fruit-growing region is ideal for a a holiday of a few days, a weekend, a week or longer, to relax and enjoy or to explore the region, or for a longer stay for professional reasons.
