Lisa and Tony both have a love of animals and the countryside, We are a working small holding and have cows, sheep, pigs, poultry and some other special animals on site.

Property information

Tony and I renovated L'ancien Presbytere from a ruin in 2007/8. As the name suggests it was originally a presbytery or priest house, We do not know exactly how old the property is but recently have been told that the hamlet of Voulons has existed since at least the 8th Century with it roots in the time of Charlemagne and our house has parts that are 14th C, some 18th C and some 19th C We have tried to keep the original style of the building and its historic character making clear where we have added more modern part adding to the story of the building.

Neighbourhood information

Le Dorat is the closest town 3 km away and boasts an 11th Century Collegiate, and beautiful medieval buildings and streets. The guided tour run by the tourist office is worth every penny of the 3euros. Closeby there is the town of Bellac with shops and a theatre, and with in 40 mins you can visit Oradour sur Glane a town frozen in time , not touched since the horrific events of June 1944.
