Property information

River Cottage is a unique, detached self-contained gite located within the grounds of Le Moulin de Villesaint , a family run business. Dated back to the Middle Ages Le Moulin de Villesaint is a converted water mill and outbuildings sat on the river Feuillade and is surrounded by beautiful woodland. The property has been sympathetically restored and offers gites that have a charming, rustique feel incorporating views over the tranquil fishing lake which is situated in the grounds. River Cottage was the original Moulin and is situated on its own island and nestles between two streams that run off the river Feuillade. The building is of natural stone and the original foundations date back over 200 years. The cottage has one bedroom and sleeps two but a sofa bed and a cot can be provided if requested to sleep up to four. It has a large, tastefully decorated living room which offers satellite TV and a DVD player as well as a dining table that seats 2 to 4. The kitchen is fully equipped and also includes a washing machine. The cottage also has a patio which sits on the river and is perfect for al fresco dining or a barbeque.

Neighbourhood information

Le Moulin de Villesaint is set just outside of the town of Faux La Montagne which is a five minute drive from Lac de Vassiviere, France's second largest lake. Here guests can find all manner of activities including watersports, river cruises, walking, fishing, and an aerial rope course. The lake also has six sandy beaches which provide excellent swimming facilities as well as tennis and volleyball. The lake is also surrounded by many bars and restaurants if guests fancy a night out.
