Why « the gem »? A gem is something prized because of its beauty or worth: it’s a treasure. This is what we hope you will find during your stay in our guesthouse, a little marvel which may offer you peace, rest and the comfort that you deserve. The Gem is a treasure, a unique guesthouse which uses both luxury hotel codes and the warm welcome of a family house. As soon as you have walked through the entrance, you will be able to enjoy the charm of the house. Breakfast is served in the big veranda. This room decorated with taste will offer you calm and serenity with its mosaic floor, its glass roof, its marbled tables and its old fashion clock. Thus, during your stay you will be able to rest in the calm and tranquility that a family house can offer. You will also be surprised by the surrounding silence that makes you forget being in a big town.
Hoteliers by profession, we are appealed by our guests. We are simple and honest , therefore we are happy whan we can satisfy our guests. This is why we love welcoming! We also enjoy comfort, this is why all our rooms are calm, bright and overall, very comfortable, by their size and by their fittings. As we are food lovers and proud of our region, we will recommend you the best restaurants and offer you local and seasonal products for breakfast.
The Gem is close to Saint-Leu the old town, and the floating gardens called Les Hortillonages. The Gem is 10 minutes away (walking distance) from the Cathédrale Notre-Dame. The guest house is also near to the Museum of Picardie and the House of Jules Verne, where the famous writer wrote most of his works.
