Company information

The Suisgill Estate Partnership has been letting holiday cottages since 2016. Church Cottage is the latest to join our portfolio. It is situated right in the middle of the estate and is surrounded by the busy upland sheep farm. Suisgill's friendly shepherds, keepers, ghillies and of course the housekeeping team are looking forward to giving you a warm welcome.

Property information

Gold Panning enthusiasts will love our cosy cottage in the Highlands with a private garden and views to the river. A short walk to Baile an Or, the site of the Kildonan Gold Rush in 1869 and one of the few place in the UK where people can have a go at gold panning. Anyone who stays at a Suisgill Estate cottage will also have exclusive permission for gold panning on the Suisgill burn. The season runs from mid-April to mid-October.

Neighbourhood information

This is a remote part of the Highlands, close to the Unesco World Heritage Flow Country. The area is very popular for gold panners. People who take the cottage can be issued exclusive permits for gold panning on the Suisgill burn. There are beautiful walks and coastlines close by. A day trip to the Orkneys. is also possible from this area. There is not an open fire, but the cosy cottage is heated by a biomass boiler, so it is very warm.
