Fantastic cottage, well equipped, cosy and spotlessly clean. Nice touch was some milk in fridge and biscuits. Log burner was a bonus too!

Cute little barn with everything you need. Bed was soft and very comfortable. We were exhausted after our long haul flight, was a great place to recharge our batteries. Very quiet. Within an hour - hour and half drive of everything we wanted to see.

A charming small self-contained cottage on a quiet farm, located one mile from the market town of Chipping Norton in the Cotswolds. An ideal place to touch base if you are looking to escape to the countryside and explore what this picturesque area has to offer. The cottage enjoys a quiet plot on a small family farm, with its own private parking. This self-contained annexe opens into the sweet cosy bedroom, tastefully decorated with a double bed, bedside tables, and storage drawers. From the bedroom is an en-suite shower room, containing an overhead waterfall shower, small wash basin, heated towel rail and WC. Also coming from the bedroom is a bright combined living room and kitchen. The fully equipped kitchen area has an electric oven, four ring hob, an under-counter fridge (no freezer), washing machine, toaster and kettle with tea, coffee and sugar ready. There is a small dining/workspace area- perfect for two people. The living area has a television with Freeview and Netflix, a comfortable sofa, a rocking chair for relaxing, and to make your stay extra cosy, be sure to light the wood burner! We provide you with enough firelighters, matches, and kindling and logs for your first night stay included in the price. The cottage features a small sunny grassy garden at the front of the property with a table and chairs. Further down the track and behind the side of the cottage are privately owned gardens. Please be respectful and only use the front garden/seating area. This is a tiny cottage with a tiny hot water tank! We have enough hot water for 10 minutes running the shower before the water needs refilling and reheating. Please leave any washing up (you’re on holiday anyway!). We have had hundreds of happy guests where they have not even noticed, however if this will be a problem please do bear it in mind before a booking with us. We do accept one well-behaved dog (no puppies under 12 months old).
Hi I’m Katie, and my mum (Christine) and I renovated Beehive cottage into a cosy Cotswold retreat during the lockdown in 2019 on the farm where we live, to run as a small business together. I like the outdoors, dog walking, sudoku, music festivals and a glass of wine on quiet nights with friends. We have both always lived in this area so happy to recommend places to eat and things to do.
A great location for visiting if you are looking to attend The Big Feastival, Wilderness, Cornbury, or Cheltenham Horse Racing Festivals. Some other local attractions include visits to the Daylesford estate, Soho Farmhouse, Blenheim Palace, Sudeley Castle, Broadway Tower, Batsford Arboretum, Chastleton House, and Broughton Castle to name a few! Visit the megalithic marvels of the Rollright Stones, a two-minute car journey from the cottage, or If you are into walking, put a spring in your step with a 2.5-mile country walk to visit this local attraction! The Cotswolds is home to some of the UK's most picturesque villages, including Bourton on the Water, The Slaughters, Bibury, Burford, Stratford-upon-Avon, Woodstock, Oxford, Cheltenham, Stow on the Wold, and Broadway. Chipping Norton has great transport links with regular bus services to Woodstock, Oxford, Banbury, and Stratford-upon-Avon. There are train stations in two nearby villages, Kingham and Charlbury, both with direct train links to London. The Cotswolds is a rural location, and although there are good transport links it is recommended that you have a car.
