Explore the English countryside at this unique and tranquil getaway with public footpaths right on your doorstep. The Annexe is next to our house and has a shared driveway, you arrive down a long track to a location surrounded by greenery. We are located close by if you need our assistance, but you are also able to access the apartment and feel secluded. The Annexe is rambling distance from Charleston Farmhouse and Berwick (Sussex) mainline railway station across 3 fields (direct trains from London & Brighton). With many footpaths across the Southdowns stop for tea or pub breaks at Charleston Farmhouse, Firle Place, & Alfriston. The opera at Glyndebourne is a 12 mins drive, or visit Lewes & its local shops & castle. For city trips Brighton & Eastbourne are a 20 minute drive or train journey away. The annexe consists of a studio bedroom with mini sofa and dining table that doubles as a desk. The "kitchenette": is basic, consisting of a sink, fridge, kettle, microwave,and plug in double hob, (no oven). There are pots and pans, dishes and cutlery, and complimentary tea and coffee. The bathroom has a sink, toilet and bath with a shower hose with soap, loo roll and shampoo. The apartment is accessed up some steps as it it on the 1st floor. You can glimpse the hills of the South Downs by the annexe door and have the best views on the property! Enjoy a tranquil stay where you can get away from it all, but also access the buzz of Brighton, Eastbourne and Glyndebourne not far away.

I am a freelance camera woman, I love to travel whether for work or pleasure. I have travelled to Africa and Asia several times, yet have many more destinations that I wish to cover. Whenever I travel I really enjoy meeting local people so I can see more than the tourist perspective of a place. I am happy camping or visiting urban areas, as interests include watersports, walking, the movies, visiting galleries and museums and music. There is a public footpath through the property and frequented by local dog walkers and ramblers There are 2 pubs within walking distance There is a petrol station in the village which has a well stocked mini supermarket. There is a paved cycle / footpath which you can access in the village which connects you to Lewes via Charleston Farmhouse, and village of Firle to Lewes or the other direction to Eastbourne Easiest way to travel distance is car or cycling.
