Location very rural, down a sometimes single track road but beautiful quiet surroundings. Cottage was spotless, kitchen compact but had everything needed. Bread, milk and biscuits and toiletries left by the owner was a lovely thoughtful touch.

Stone Cottage sleeps 4 people and is a stone-clad detached barn conversion, located down a no-through road in the rural hamlet of Pentirvin in the Hope Valley, 4.5 miles from Minsterley and 9 miles from Churchstoke, in the beautiful Shropshire Hills. The cottage opens into a spacious open plan living area with wood burning stove and stone flagged floor, with sliding French doors off the sitting area onto an enclosed decked patio with superb rural views across woodland. The kitchen, though compact, has everything you will need for an enjoyable stay and has been finished with luxury granite worktops, whilst the dining area provides a lovely social space where you can sit and relax whilst keeping the chef entertained. One step leads down to two bedrooms, one king-size double and one with twin beds, and both benefit from the rural views on offer. In addition there is a modern bathroom with a bath and shower over.
The owners, who live next door, have taken great care with the styling and furnishings to make this an ideal base for family or friends. They are on-hand to assist with any requirements you have but will not disturb you, to allow you to enjoy the peace and quiet of the countryside setting. The cottage is part of a working smallholding and small machinery may be in use from time to time, together with the movement of animals on the farm.
Situated in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, guests can enjoy beautiful views of Bromlow Callow from the property. There is easy access to the historic town of Shrewsbury with its great shopping, theatre, bars, and river cruise, as well as being just a short drive to the mid Wales border. National Trust properties, Powys Castle and Attingham Park are nearby and Ironbridge Gorge Museums, Ludlow Castle and racecourse, Stokesay Castle and Montgomery Castle are a short drive. Bishops Castle, Welshpool, Newtown and Ludlow are all within easy driving distance. The cottage is located in a hill walkers paradise on an OFFA walking route, with Stiperstones National Nature Reserve and The Shropshire Way both easily accessed across Hope Valley Nature Reserve footpaths, whilst a brisk walk along the lane will find you on top of Bromlow Callow in just a few minutes, with superb views all round. Nearest Shop - 8 minute drive Nearest Pub - 4 minute drive or 20 minute walk.
