Really handy location, nestled in the heart of Aberystwyth. Quirky and cute cottage, immaculately presented and a stones throw from the beach, shops, bars and cafes.

Connected to The Old Library in Aberystwyth, The Library Cottage is part of an Early Georgian cottage conversion. It has the use of a beautiful enclosed garden, whilst the building itself is less than 50m from the centre of Aberystwyth's seafront. In a peaceful, though tucked away spot, the cottage is newly refurbished and has a king-size bed, seating area and an ensuite bathroom with shower. There is a private kitchenette with lounge area and dining table. It still retains many original features such as the old fireplace and an original curved Georgian window (with seat).
Stuart and Joanna bought the Old Library and cottage in 2021 and have since spent the last 4 years renovating. Stuart is a builder, whilst Joanna is a potter.
The Old Library is in Corporation Street, just one street behind Aberystwyths seafront. The town library was relocated to the town hall in 2012 and the Old Library was sold on but left undeveloped until 2021. The site included the derelict Fisherman's Cottage, which has now been lovingly renovated into two apartments: The Library Cottage and The Fishermans Cottage. Aberystwyth prom has the Gwesty and Glengower hotels, with food and drink. At the end of the prom is Constitution Hill with its cliff railway and cafe on top. The prom also has the Pier, for food and entertainments. Just up from the Pier in Pier Street is Ultracomida - a fantastic Spanish delicatessen. Soon The Old College will be revitalised into an entertainment and gallery hub. At the other end of the promenade is The Hut for tea coffee and ice creams, as well as the harbour. Around Aberystwyth are many excellent independent shops like Her Dandy Wolf for clothes, and Driftwood Designs. There are more fantastic eating places like Medina, on Queens Road, who also run the Prom Diner.
