Above all I enjoyed the quietness and the seclusion. The facilities are really good and having homemade food and fresh eggs was an unexpected bonus. I walked the footpath across the fields to Manuden and enjoyed a drink at the Yew Tree pub. I'm...

The Potting Shed (our repurposed garden shed) provides everything you will need for a semi off grid stay, whilst maintaining a level of comfort and luxury. An electric shower, composting loo, there is WIFI (but is intermittent!), electricity and a fire pit give you all the creature comforts. All the while being immersed in nature in a very secluded and tranquil part of our garden, surrounded by fields, its difficult not to feel relaxed!
We have lived in the area most of our lives. We both work full time so won't be around all the time but are always available to help should you need it. We love walking in the country and know the area well (enough!) so are happy to give advice. We have two ginger cats called Cornflakes and Cheerios, they are friendly but a little shy. We have a flock of chickens who are happy to be fed food scraps and a daily alarm clock - our cockerel. We look forward to welcoming you to our little corner of the world.
Nearby, the village of Manuden is within walkable distance (around 1.5 miles) where there is a lovely local pub. There are plentiful walks from the potting shed, which we will be more than happy to advise you on. A short distance away by car there are plenty of other things to do, such as Audley End house, have a wander around the picturesque town of Saffron Walden, or museums such as Duxford Air museum. We will be more than happy to advise you on other activities based on your likes!
