Scotland Lodge Farm offers two self contained apartments, that are booked seperately. One on the first floor (stable loft), we allow dogs in this apartment, and one on the ground floor (the stalls), we do not allow dogs in this apartment sadly. They are part of a converted equestrian yard with history in racing and eventing. It is still active equestrian property and you will hear and see horses during your stay. Both apartments have an entrance hall, kitchenette with hob and microwave, shower room, living room with TV, sofa and 1 x double bedroom. The first floor 'stable loft' is ideally suited for a couple or a maximum of 2. We will allow one large dog or two small dogs. The ground floor 'The Stalls' is newly refurbished (Apr 24). It can accommodate three as it has a double bed and a sofa bed that can accommodate one person. Due to being carpeted we do not allow dogs in this flat. Set on a working farm, we also have sheep and dogs, which roam, dogs intentionally - sheep when they escape! We are located on the A303 on the outskirts of Winterbourne Stoke
Lou and Frank your hosts live and work on the farm and will be able to support and advise you with the local area or any trip planning in the South of England or wider. It is quite normal not to see us, as we do not like to impose on your visit, but are avilable at your request, supported by Jill.
The farm borders a natural england site which enables access without any roads to Salisbury Plain, you can walk or cycle for miles across amazing, naturally maintained countryside We are near stourhead gardens a beautiful national trust property which is a must to visit (30 mins drive) There are good bus links in the village and major train routes out of Salisbury.
