Hi, my name is Carol and my husband and I started the business just two years ago. We have really enjoyed meeting people from all over the world and being able to share in their experiences. Mark is very interested in local history and will happily chat to visitors about the various interesting sites, from Stonehenge and Avebury, to the small local villages such as Lacock and the amazing flight of locks on the Canal at Cain Hill..

Property information

This newly built property is equipped with all en-suite shower rooms, and offers a variety of views across the Wiltshire Downs. The property is located in its own grounds of approximately 4 acres and is home to three alpacas, a variety of ducks , and our family golden retriever called Benson. Whether you are looking to explore the local area, visit one of the many National Trust sites, or visit friends and family, we offer a comfortable base for your stay. All our rooms come with tea and coffee making facilities, built-in wardrobes and en-suite shower rooms. And, of course, include a range of breakfast options including a full english or continental breakfast in our light and airy breakfast room. Vegetarian and gluten-free options can be served on request.

Neighbourhood information

The Swallows is set in the heart of the Wiltshire countryside within easy reach of many historic sites such as Stonehenge and Avebury. It's walking distance from the Kennet and Avon Canal and only a few miles from the spectacular Caen Hill locks. We are also within easy reach of Longleat Safari Park and the village of Lacock, used as the setting for many historic dramas and also the filming of Harry Potter.
