I established Galloway Coastal lettings in 2011 and we have two properties, a traditional Farmhouse and the newer Roundhouse which came in 2019. When choosing what to build, my husband and I very much wanted to provide a space for a relaxing and an enjoyable stay taking in the beautiful scenery which makes up Galloway. The Roundhouse is located on Kirkbride farm, it is a working farm and we have Blackface sheep and Aberdeen Angus cross cattle. Come and stay in our bespoke Eco Roundhouse nestled in native woodland. From large panoramic windows enjoy stunning views and beautiful sunsets over Wigtown Bay. Breathe in the fresh sea air by taking a stroll down by the shore. There are 3 steps up to enter the Roundhouse, taking you into the hallway where you can rid yourself of your outdoor gear. Entering into the main circular area, there is a kitchen with gas hob/oven, fridge with small freezer compartment and a dining table with 2 chairs, a cosy sofa (with extra throws, cushions to snuggle up in) sits alongside a log burning stove (with logs supplied). On the far side of this room is a king size bed complete with 2 bedside tables with recharging sockets and a wardrobe. There is an ensuite shower room, wash hand basin, WC and small heated towel rail. On the wall is a freeview TV, a HDMI cable is supplied. A 4G signal is available for most Networks (Vodaphone, EE, & O2), please note there is no wi-fi. A selection of books/games etc are available. Outside, next to your parking space, we have a log shed, which could double as a bike store if needed. Please bring your own padlock. There is outdoor furniture to be able to relax on and let the world go by, along with outdoor dining table and two chairs.

Although situated in a rural location it does not take long to get about with the A75 road nearby. There is so much to do, I'll try and give a snapshot! Within walking distance is a fantastic Smokery which sells delicious smoked products. I highly recommend the smoked salmon! Next door there is Roadhouse Blue, a Bistro/Burger place. Why not take a walk down to the shore for some fresh air and see the Oyster Catchers and the Cormorants. It is possible to cycle to Kirroughtree without going directly onto the A75 - (it's about 8 miles), which is a walking, cycling and mountain biking centre. It's also possible to hire bikes there and, having worked up an appetite, there is also a cafe! Events in the area include the arts festival 'Spring Fling', at the end of May and Wigtown Book Festival in September. There is also the Newton Stewart walking festival in May. Mossyard beach is extremely popular and is approx 6 miles along the road, next to Laggan, with Gather restaurant & GG's Yard wedding venue. Kirkcudbright is well worth a visit with it's colourful houses and fishing harbour. It has a number of art galleries, and interesting shops. Many beautiful gardens are found throughout the area
