Great location, friendly host. Facilities all fine, perhaps a bit small for staying more than one night. It's not basic nor luxury but still very good. I am quoting the host here by the way!

Company information

Hello! I'm Kevin, the keeper of the pods here at Wee Hoose Glamping. I live here along with my lovely wife Elaine (the true Scot among us), our son Zach and our dog, Cap the collie! I'm originally from London but we moved up here a few years ago to finally live out our country glamping dream. My hobbies include being a general handyman, looking after our chickens, watching countless history documentaries and enjoying a good strong cup of tea to wash it all down with (teabag left in of course). I'm very much looking forward to meeting you all - come and join us for a taste of that good old-fashioned Highland hospitality!

Property information

Pod 3 has a double bed shower and toilet, a mini kitchen with all your basic needs to cook with, your own decking area and a shared fire pit to enjoy BBQs. Access to our 17 acres of croft land for you to explore with red deer that often come down to feed near the pods. You only need to bring yourself and enjoy the beauty of the North Highlands! Our onsite features include a caravan where our visitors can hang wet clothing, an honesty shop with all the basics and a large fire pit to sit around and try your hand at one of the BBQs. The pods come with a single gas cooker, a bathroom with shower, toilet and a sink plus a fridge to keep your milk cold. Our site has 17 acres for all to explore with views of Ben Kilbreck and the sound of the River Naver streaming down the valley opposite. We provide you with all the ingredients you need to cook yourself a large full Scottish (or continental) breakfast (including fresh eggs from our own hens), all topped up for each night of your stay. We cater for gluten or lactose free, vegetarian and vegan, just email us your preferences!

Neighbourhood information

We live on the Strathnaver, a long, sparse village alongside a river in the North Highlands. Houses are few and far between and the views are spellbinding. The neighbours (as in, those who live in the houses closes to ours) are very friendly and the community up here is close. All in all, few folk, but friendly folk at that. And lots of cows. If you wish to go out for a meal, then here in the North Highlands there are lots of fantastic restaurants within easy driving distance. Just ask us for more info! We have a private car park big enough to fit 3 cars. There is no public transport, we are around 16 miles from Kinbrace train station, if you come by train and need picking up we can pick you up for free. Lots of stunning walks and cycling around the area!
