Being myself an architect and having lived and worked abroad for the last 13 years, travelled all around the world and stayed at many luxury hotels, I just wanted to bring to my guests some of my experiences on how to completely relax and switch off from a hectic every day working life. Serene Villas got their name from Serenity, which is Galini in Greek, meaning tranquility. The area around Serene Villas is also called Galini, an area protected by the strong winds. All 3 villas have their own names: Sofia, Maria and Olga, all being important members of my family.
The nearest city is Ierapetra with a lot of tourists attractions such as a castle. All restaurants are by the sea, where you can enjoy the sunset or the full moon coming out of the sea. There will be some guides inside the property on how to order breakfast or dinner from the closest area called Ferma. There is also Makry Gialos, another small town with many facilities for children to play.
