In the past, 20 years ago, this land was a natural field of palm palm trees which was guarded for generations by Mang Oleh's grandfather. Over time, the palm trees processed here can become the raw material for your favorite palm sugar coffee that you drink every day.
However, a year ago when the villa started to be built, Mang Oleh and his family were worried – would all the palm trees be cut down and their ancestral heritage be lost?
In fact, not a single tree was cut down. Instead, they continue to harvest sugar palm, and now guests can enjoy the results of this hard work for generations.
Not only that, the distinctive color of palm sugar—brown, caramel, sweet and warm—was the main inspiration for the design of this villa.
This is Selayang Enau, more than just a place to stay, but real proof of how nature and culture can be passed on with love
