Our house is a unique house overlooking Coulagh Bay, with stunning views to the sea. The garden is a lovely relaxing place as well as a great hide and seek venue, not on the road, but an easy 10 minute walk to the village, with a well stocked small supermarket, petrol, postoffice, bistro, tea room in season, 2 pubs. It is a cosy traditional house which is well equipped to accommodate families and young children. The beds are all very comfortable, some with views to the sea. Everyone loves it.
We are a retired couple who have lived in West Cork for years and would like to share our beautiful traditional Irish farmhouse with stunning views of the Atlantic ocean with guests while we are away. We love gardening, walking, swimming and the Arts. As we now live in the UK we work with Anita who welcomes and looks after guests. Anita is local to the area and can help with booking sailing and fishing trips and in-depth knowledge of the local area.
Shore Cottage is a ten minute walk from the Village of Eyeries. A beautiful Irish village with a lively community. The Eyeries family festival is a great annual event that happens in July. The village offers, shops, post office, pubs and cafés. The surrounding area is populated by traditional small mixed farms. In Spring time you will be treated to the sight of darling lambs and calves in the fields all around. Being so close to one of the main shipping fleets in the West Of Ireland, there is deliciously fresh fish to be enjoyed. Due to the remoteness of Shore Cottage it is essential to drive as public transport will only get you as far as Castletown Beare.
