Property info

The Sunshine Room is a well-appointed room on the first floor of The Umri, a homestay located in the forested hills of Uttarakhand. It is situated about 14 km from the quaint Cantonment town of Lansdowne and 250 km from New Delhi. The room contains a vintage king-sized bed with matching bedside tables and a fat comfortable armchair that compels you to drop into it, and stay there. In addition to the vintage bed, the Sunshine Room contains an interesting old dresser, paperbacks and a large wardrobe for your possessions. The Umri is fully-staffed and there’s an excellent chef in residence who whips up delicious meals for guests of The Sunshine Room. The homestay also has a comfortable living and dining room, where guests can chill, read or watch TV if they like. They can also go down to the deck which affords magnificent views of the surrounding greenery with misty mountains as backdrop. Evening brings out the stars and the twinkling lights of the villages in the area.
