Welcome in one of the most poetic corners in Santa Marina. This small house was used by fishermen who in winter put their boat safe using access from the sea. The spiral staircase is typical of these Eolian homes that, having the mountain behind, grow in height.
With my sister we have spent all our summers on this island since we were children. My uncle discovered it when he was offered a place as a doctor here. He didn't accept it, but he liked the island and came back every year as this became a second home for him and also for my family. Now there are many more amenities than once, but the island remains wild and beautiful as it was then.
You can relax on the beach in front of you or go shopping around the street you will find climbing the stairs next to the house. You can walk along the road to the small town of "Lingua" to taste the famous "Alfredo's granita" or arrange for a trip to discover the other islands on the fishermen's boats that you will find in the marina near the square. For diving lovers in the near harbor you can book lessons or dive to explore the seabed. For trekking ask for a guide to take you to the natural reserve of the "Fossa delle Felci", the top of the mountain that you can see behind you.
