Here, among the gentle hills just a stone’s throw from Alba and a little over an hour from the Ligurian Sea, my family and I have created a haven of peace and warmth: two cosy double rooms, a quadruple room perfect for friends or family, and a self‑contained apartment—bookable together if you’d like the run of an entire Langhe country home. Every space is roomy and air‑conditioned, with Wi‑Fi, on‑site parking and a TV ready for relaxed evenings. Each morning I welcome you to the breakfast room with homemade cakes, local honey and cheeses from small producers. Our hospitality is guided by mindful choices: straw‑bale insulation for perfect temperature, lime‑wash paints that let the walls breathe, solar panels that power the house and many small actions that lighten our footprint. I like to think every guest finds a piece of home here: a garden where time slows, a courtyard for toasting the sunset and, if you wish, my tips for wineries, trails and hidden corners of the Langhe. Sogni di Paglia is just minutes from Monforte’s centre—you can drive there in a flash, or walk along the paved road or the trails that wind through vineyards and hazelnut groves. Monforte is a true Langhe gem, close to Alba and the very heart of Barolo country. Life moves slowly here, the views seem endless, and in about an hour and a half by car you can even reach the Ligurian Sea.
