Property information

The only hotel in eastern Japan renovated from a cultural heritage property, guests can glimpse the life of the Iizuka family and Japanese traditions of construction from Edo and Meiji period. A boutique hotel with just six rooms, Iizukatei offers luxurious apartment style and traditional storehouse rooms suitable for long stays. Equipped with high quality furnishings, each room has a comfortable living area, conversational dining and a complete kitchen, offering guests flexibility and a space to call home. Our off-the-beaten-path location allows guests to soak up an authentic Japanese rural lifestyle without the crowds, and enjoy a slower a pace. We work together with the people of Nakagawa-machi to create experiences reflecting the culture and traditions of the area. Iizukatei is excellent as a base to explore the immediate surrounds or further afield. Within 2 hours drive, guests can access world heritage Nikko, Nasu, Ashikaga Flower Park, Ouchi-juku, Hitachi Seaside Park and areas of Tohoku.
