My husband, Thomas, has Japanese heritage but growing up very Canadian! He wanted to find out more about his Japanese culture and also expose our kids to it. Through teaching English to a diverse group of Japanese students in universities, he sees Japan though their eyes and also teach them about Canada and its culture. Kyoto is a wonder place to live, visit and raise kids. We would like many travelers to experience “Kyoto-Living”. We also live in the same property in a separate house so if you need any help during your stay at Ohara Sensui, please feel free to let us know.

You can enjoy the beautiful nature and temples in Ohara, one of the most beautiful areas in Kyoto.
