This is an accommodation where you can spend your time at a quiet small Buddhist temple located in Kidera-cho, on the edge of the Naramachi (old city) area.
Renjoji Shukubo is a temple lodging that consists of a renovated old house in the back garden of a lovely small Buddhist temple with a very rare statue of a female Amida Buddha sided by other Buddha statues dating back to the Nara period.
The renovated old private house retains the goodness of the Showa-era buildings.
There is a clean bathroom with a shower, a separate wash basin, and a toilet in the house.
Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the property.
If you wish, you can participate in the morning service at the temple hall with the priest.
Kintetsu Nara Station is about a 15-minute walk, and Kofukuji Temple and Gangoji Temple are a 10-minute walk away.
