Only few minutes walk (or less than a minute drive) to the old tokaanu wharf with stunning views of lake Taupo. We live in the house and have 2 small cabins in our backyard. Shared bathroom with toilet/shower/vanity. Shared outside kitchen and geothermal hot pool for our guests to enjoy. Queen size bed in each cabin with a hairdryer, toaster, kettle, tea/coffee/sugar/herbal tea/ uht milk and cuttlery. 2 chairs and a table to eat. Unlimited wifi, cellphone reception, block out curtains, books, 4 powerpoints, spare pillows/blankets. Outside kitchen (sheltered from the rain) has a gas cooker, electric oven, barbecue, outside sink with safe drinkable water, pots/pans and everything to cook meals. Coffee plunger. Shared Microwave/fridge/freezer. Shared bathroom is 15 m (or 15 seconds walk) from the cabins. Free private carpark. Portable heater in winter and portable fan in summer. Portable cot with mattress and sheets/blankets for under 2s children on request. Children toys and books available.
Clara is French and Chris is Kiwi. We love the outdoors and sharing our home. Clara is a teacher and Chris is a glazer specialist. We are lucky to have a geothermal hot pool on our property and look forward to hosting you.
Tokaanu is a small rural village ideally situated to do the tongariro alpine crossing. We are about 8 minutes walk to lake Taupo and the stunning views. Less than 5 min drive to Turangi town.
