"The Orchard" is a lovely 2 bedroom apartment on its own level in our home on a small orchard block in the country down a private driveway at the end of a no exit road. There is a terrace with a barbecue available, outdoor dining and seating. The kitchenette features a microwave, small fridge electric kettle and toaster. There are tea and coffee making facilities. There are board games and an extensive library and a flat screen TV with Netflix available. We provide a continental breakfast in the apartment. Our location is peaceful and we are often surrounded by birdsong. Our property is a small avocado orchard with a domestic garden Maggie is developing. There are friendly goats and perhaps not so friendly bees We we fully vaccinated for the pandemic and require our guests to be also, for the health and safety of us all.
We are Maggie and Chris . Maggie is a retired teacher, Chris is still working. We have travelled extensively to out of the way places. We enjoy meeting new people and exploring other cultures, and working on our small block of land, surrounded by good neighbours.
The Orchard is surrounded by other avocado and kiwifruit orchards. There are a variety of restaurants and cafes within 10 minutes drive. There are wonderful fishing, boating, swimming and other water-sport opportunities nearby at Omokoroa, Tauranga and Mount Maunganui. We are 30k away from ASB Baypark arena. In the hills surrounding the property there are bush walks and streams for swimming in .
