Ao reservar a Casa da Fichua está a reservar um dos poucos alojamentos existentes na aldeia pertencente a habitantes locais. Ao reservar a Casa da Fichua ficará hospedado num espaço intrinsecamente relacionado com a história da aldeia, que está na família há mais de 150 anos. Desta forma, está a contribuir para a manutenção da identidade local assim como da paisagem, uma vez dos mais de uma dezena de alojamentos existentes na aldeia, apenas três pertencem a habitantes locais e proprietários, sendo estes contribuidores importantes para a manutenção da paisagem. Está a permitir e incentivar que se mantenha viva e autêntica a nossa pequena e bela aldeia, assim como e as suas características rurais.
Somos uma família de habitantes locais, que adaptou uma das suas propriedades ao turismo, permitindo aos nossos hóspedes uma experiência autêntica, num alojamento que está na família há mais de 150 anos, tendo aí nascido várias das nossas gerações, contribuindo, desta forma para a continuidade e preservação da autenticidade local.
Sistelo tem a primeira paisagem classificada como Monumento Nacional. É ainda Paisagem Cultural e a aldeia venceu, em 2017, o concurso 7 Maravilhas de Portugal- Aldeias, na categoria de aldeia rural. Ficar em Sistelo é uma viagem ao passado e às raízes rurais do país.
