Visit saltpans in Sečovlje, lakes in Fiesa, Istria’s hinterland and one of the coastal towns like Portorož, Strunjan or Izola. Car access is strictly limited in Piran, so navigate yourself by using mostly bike and walking for short trips. As safe and quiet as Piran is, it still can get a bit crowded during the high season, so prepare yourself for some crowds in this tiny town.
