Only 15 minutes from Nitrianske Rudno there is a castle in Slovakia which deserves the title of fortress and is really worth the detour for its many wonders, it is this one! It seems to come out of a fairy tale! Bojnice Castle is a romantic fortress that tourists line up for north of the town of Bojnice. Its foundations are in the Gothic style and its recent additions are built in the Renaissance style. The gigantic building was inhabited by several royal families before being nowadays under the protection of the State. Visit this sumptuous fortress with your loved ones and tell them about the events it has witnessed since the 12th century, when it was built.
