Beautiful home in the historic Duck Pond neighborhood. Built in 1930, this newly remodeled home is conveniently located near Downtown, University of Florida, and many unique restaurants. The entire property is fenced in for complete privacy. Even though you are in downtown Gainesville you will feel peacefully secluded. The property is unique in that it is the oldest house on the street and features pine trees with evidence of sap harvesting from the turpentine production days.
Your hosts are Gerald, Kip and Randy. We are Gainesville locals that are excited to offer you the best experience possible. We love to travel using Airbnb. Our Airbnb's will be a notch above! We don't want guests to have a "bare bones" feeling. Gerald is a Licensed Massage Therapist and U.S. Army veteran. Kip is a homemaker. Randy is a traveling healthcare trainer. We look forward to hosting your next stay!
Duckpond is one of Gainesville’s oldest neighborhoods. Located northeast of downtown, it was developed principally in the late 1800s through the first few decades of the 1900s. Duckpond’s quiet, narrow streets take you back a century. Here, moss-draped oaks, vibrant gardens and splendid traditional architecture conjure an early 1900s version of Gainesville.
