What an awesome experience! We got picked up by the host at the station and from there we got really treated awesome by this wonderful family. Breakfast and dinner were delicious! Rooms and facilities were clean, modern and spacious. Pool was also really clean. I can really recommend this Home Stay as this was a great experience!!! Perfect view on the mountains and heavens gate.

Absolutely fantastic place! The hotel is magnificent—cozy, impeccably clean, and designed in an authentic style that truly immerses you in the local atmosphere. The host is simply the best! He went above and beyond to help organize all our excursions, acting as a knowledgeable local guide. He was always quick to respond to any request, picked us up from the airport and took us back, shared fascinating insights about China, and gave us valuable tips. Every morning, he personally prepared breakfast, making our stay even more special. I highly, highly recommend this place—it's an absolute gem in a wonderful city!

The best people ever run this hotel. They helped us book tickets, plan out our schedules for our trips, picked us up from the airport, helped us do laundry, the list goes on and on. The hotel itself is cute and well located near the East Gate of Zhangjiajie forest park and a 5 min walk to streets with many shops and vendors. Could not recommend this place enough for visits to Zhangjiajie forest park.

The location is amazing. It is very remote, giving you a great sense of peace. The staff is amazing. Frankie went out of his way to make it comfortable for us. He had great advice on what to do in the region and helped us a lot. His English is also great. Yang Ma let us taste a lot of tea that she made herself. It was absolutely delicious and she also taught us new things! In the bar they have a karaoke setup and we sang to our hearts content with Yang Ma. The food is also superb and really comforting after walking in the park for a day. Sadly the weather wasn't great when we visited so we did not enjoy the infinity pool, but it looks amazing. We will defenitely return here if we come to Zhangjiajie again.

My stay at Guan Yun Shan Ju was an absolutely unforgettable experience. Tucked away in the serene mountains, this lodge truly lives up to its name "Cloud-Gazing." Waking up to a sea of clouds right outside our window was nothing short of magical. The room was impeccably clean, spacious, and beautifully decorated with a tasteful blend of modern comfort and traditional charm. The wooden beams and soft lighting created a very cozy atmosphere. The hospitality of the staff was exceptional; they were incredibly warm and attentive, making us feel right at home. The food was another highlight! We enjoyed delicious, locally-sourced meals that were both fresh and flavorful. Sitting on the terrace, sipping tea, and watching the clouds roll by was the perfect way to unwind. It's an ideal retreat for anyone looking to disconnect from the city's hustle and bustle and reconnect with nature. I cannot recommend this place highly enough and will definitely be returning.

the room was lovely with a view and air conditioned and clean. the people running the hotel were very helpful to us as foreigners. they drove us to the Southgate entrance of Zhangjiajie national park which a 4 min drive and cooked us dinner for 40 yuan which was very helpful as the area is more quiet. this might be an option for you if they are available that night. there is also a restaurant across the road which was great! the hotel also offers a basic breakfast for free. Theres a busier area with fruit market stalls and more restaurants about a 20 min walk. the lady working there was very patient with us and helped us book all of our national park and day trip tickets (i would suggest doing this before you come to avoid missing out in busy seasons).

First of all, this is my second time in zhangjiajie, and this service was the best. The lady from the reception helped us book all tickets to the national park and the tianmen mountain and even took the time to plan a custom itinerary with us. This was the best service I've seen so far. She is also always available on WeChat if questions during our stay arose. The room was really spacious and clean. Unfortunately the door lock didn't work, but you can open it only with the room card anyway. The room was cleaned everyday and bed sheets were made too. We also got fresh water bottles daily (high quality ones). The room features a tea set including dried tee to make traditional gongfu tea, which was awesome. During the night, the bed was really comfortable. The bathroom was really big. I loved the rain shower and the big bathtub. The room also features coat hangers to dry clothes, since the hotel also provides a laundry room with clean and powerful washing machines (which saved us honestly haha). The rain shower is amazing, the temperature was also great. A little downside was that the shower gel was empty, which can easily be requested for refills (we used our own). Apart from that we got vanity kits, tooth brush kits and so on. The hotel's location is amazing. To the tianmen cable car it's a 5 min Didi ride (2 km). To the national park it's 30 min by Didi. There are many restaurants and shops, a pharmacy and supermarket in the vicinity (5 min by foot). And each time we returned, they treated us to tea! I can really recommend this stay and will definitely book it again when I come to zhangjiajie again.
