We absolutely loved everything about Torre Colombaia:-) You are first met by Louisa who is an excellent host and will genuinely make you feel at home and also ensure you’ll get the most out of your planned stay, including recommending you local restaurants (not tourist traps) and if you get a chance please do go and visit the “Caseificio” next door, so that Paolo and his team will give you an amazing introduction into the wonderful world of making Parmesan cheese, which finishes with a nice cheese tasting! Torre Colombaia is surrounded by lush fields and green hills which makes it a perfect combination for a relaxing stay. Very friendly, welcoming and accomodating staff. They made us feel at home. Good breakfast with the best coffee. Very large pool with grassy area, there are sun beds and chairs, light lunch and/or drinks. Art works everywhere, and a nice lounge area downstairs.

Fantastic place despite the fact that we were there during the heavy rains . The staff was fantastic including the amazing support of the owners themselves who helped to get us a guided tour of the castle despite their own heavy schedule. We have recommended this castle to our daughter for her wedding celerbration. Also the restaurant offered some excellent and tasty things.

Even though we arrived at the hotel very late at night, the receptionist was very helpful. The breakfast was wonderful. I wouldn't stay anywhere else.

Wonderful renovated property in idyllic location with wonderful, friendly staff. Very quiet and relaxing. Fridge in room with drinks and honesty system was a brilliant addition to the room.

Everything was exceptional. Marko and Paula are excellent hosts. Marko speaks excellent English and was very friendly and helpful. Our room was beautiful and very modern and clean. The bed was very comfortable. We loved the swimming pool, with the patio and sun loungers overlooking a magnificent view of the valley and the Appenine Mountains beyond. As we were hiking the Via Francigena, and the property is outside the town of Medesano, and as the B & B does not provide evening meals, Marko ordered pizzas and beer for us from a restaurant in town. This saved us walking back into town. We dined sitting on a lovely terrace. Marko even gave us some of his home made Sloe Gin. Breakfast was delicious and wholesome, with plenty of local produce, especially their home made Parmesan cheese.
