United StatesAs an overseas visitor to Aomori, I felt very welcomed by the proprietress. It was a much more personal experience than staying at a hotel and she made sure to check in with me every day. And despite the language barrier, everything was explained clearly and there was lots of helpful signage posted. I also enjoyed my room on the third floor and the air conditioner worked well. The room was big for me as a solo traveler and two people would fit fine. Three might be a little cozy unless you're just needing a place to crash. While there is one shower, it was never a problem grabbing a shower each day. I stayed for 5 nights and the place appeared full each night and yet I only ever caught a glimpse of another lodger twice. If planning to use the free washing machine, just be sure to leave time to hang dry your laundry. And, as everyone else says, the location absolutely cannot be beat.
