The hotel is located in the mountains of Ella. A special van with driver pick up is needed to take you to the property. It is a rough 15 minute drive from the pick up spot to the hotel. Once you reach the hotel, you can understand the rough drive- the minute you enter the hotel, you are greeted by probably the best views you can get in all of Sri Lanka. The room and swimming pool offer the same views and you can spend hours appreciating it. A special mention to Mr. Kawindu who was there for us whenever we needed him - he picked and dropped us to and from the pick up spot regardless of the time, was available at the reception and kitchen helping out with everything! What a guy! Also, shout-out to the entire crew managing different parts of the property for making our stay a memorable one. The room we booked was gorgeous, spacious and very comfortable. Opt for the Sri Lankan breakfast option, the fish curry is not to be missed! Can recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a place to stay in Ella!

The room was absolutely gorgeous! It was very clean, and everything was well furnished. We became a little (too) obsessed with the couch in the room. Breakfast was fantastic. The owners thought of everything - right down to having nail clippers in the room. For the price we paid, it was such a steal. We cannot recommend this place enough. Thank you!

Really nice private getaway if you want to have alone time. Amazing view and very nice hosts. They were helping with everything and super kind. Food was prepared for us and tea served. So it was truly nice experience!

A real taste of paradise...................... Recently had the pleasure of staying at the Royo Rock Ella Hotel, You are truly ontop of the world. The view is breathtaking, really magical. Make sure you get up at sunrise to see the stunning skies, hear the birds and the chanting too. The room was superb, way better than we expected actually and was huge. We had dinner in our room one night too which was a real treat. The Bathtub is great and a really lovely backdrop. The dinner was great and the breakfast was too. Special mention to the hotels Tuk Tuk driver who is on hand for trips into Ella and suggested a great place to stop for the best views of the 9 arch bridge.We felt really spoilt. The staff were really warm and welcoming. Thanks for a lovely stay..

Wonderful view from the hotel and from our room. Excellent location, modern and clean facilities, quality breakfast and really friendly staff. My husband had his birthday during our stay and they helped me to surprise him.

Excellent secluded property, it’s 20 minutes from the city Center. The location, setting and everything is excellent. Truly in nature. The roads in are bumpy but it is what makes it awesome about the whole experience. The pool at the top of the property is just something truly amazing. Sunset view is beyond explanation. Owner and staff are very nice. If you love nature, you would love this place. The wind the weather, calmness. Above all the price is just right as well, great value.
