Location was superb, close to bike hire and China's tuktuk. We rented bikes based on the owner's recommendation for two consecutive days with great value. Two adult bikes and two kids bikes. The only thing I will note is that the shower does not drain quickly enough (so it pools), but this is very minor and did not impact our experience at all. At first glance, we thought it would be difficult to get food. But this is not the case. There are many eateries available within a short walking distance. The property is around 10 minutes' car journey from Dali Bai Autonomous Prefecture Museum. The property is located a 34-minute car ride from Dali Ancient City and Cangshan Scenic Area. The Chongsheng Temple and the Three-Pagoda is located within 40 minutes' drive from the hotel. The nearest airport is Dali Airport, around 20 minutes' car journey from the property. The location is not near to the old town, it takes around 15 mins by taxi to it. However its view of this hotel is fantastic, I really enjoyed the sunset view from my balcony.

The fact that the owner speaks good English makes things much easier and allows him to recommend other places in beautiful Dali and the surrounding area of Lake Erhai: biking aorund the lake, visiting the nearby town of Xizhou (very beautiful too!) and Zhoucheng (a truly Bai village.) The owner also helped me with some glasses that I had lost on the plane, calling the airport in several occasions. On the day we left, he even took us to the airport in his own car, as he was picking up a friend a little later. If you go to this guest house, be sure to visit the restaurant next door, which specialises in mushrooms (although it serves many other dishes too). You can enjoy your mushrooms in a hot pot. It's a real treat that showcases the flavours of the region, and the staff are extremely friendly and happy to help you try new dishes

It boasts excellent scenery, featuring a dedicated viewing deck on the third floor where you can admire the Cangshan Mountain. There is also a "sky mirror" perfect for photography. The toiletries are well-stocked, and the bath amenities are from Penhaligon's. The breakfast is delicious, and the overall experience is highly recommended.

I love how cultural the design of this homestay is. It's very comfortable and homey. Most homestays in Lijiang Old Town are tucked away in alleys, but this one is only three minutes from the main road. The facilities are excellent, and the rooms are spacious. An iron is also provided upon request. Our room was actually only for three people, but we came as an unplanned foursome. However, the hotel allowed us to stay in the same room without any extra charges. We were even provided with bed covers, blankets, towels, and other additional amenities. We went there in early October, and the temperature was already quite cold. We didn't even need the air conditioning in our room; it was so cool. We were even provided with a water heater and a thermal blanket. Mai Lu Jiejie is very kind, she is really kind! She even recommended some halal restaurants for us to eat at, since we are muslims. She also recommended us a place to rent traditional costumes there which is quite cheap. If I go to Lijiang again, I will stay there again .
