Modern and spacious, rooms are fitted with high ceilings, a flat-screen cable TV, minibar and tea/coffee-making facilities. Bathrobes, toiletries and a hairdryer are provided. This was, simply, the best travel experience I have had at a hotel. It exceeded other 5 star properties I’ve visited at every turn. The staff were incredibly efficient, friendly, and relaxed. Especially nice touches: front desk staff accompany you to your room at check-in and complete documents there, for comfort, and give an overview of your room. The room was luxurious without being cavernous, amenities generous, excellent minibar options, and very comfortable robes. The 1911 restaurant was a welcome respite and served wonderful Continental and Indian dishes. The breakfast was delicious and thoughtfully orchestrated. The hotel bookstore was a precious and well-curated little gem. The concierge was unfailingly helpful and the spa was like a dream to escape the New Delhi smog. The hotel’s art collection was of real interest and the overall vibe was delightful.
