They’d truly thought of everything to make our stay special, including Aesop products, pajamas and a speaker to enjoy our time in the room.

I had the room Ume which was comfortable. A minor detail is that the room can be quite/too bright for some (this was for me) as the light from the carpark is directly positioned in the direction of the room. But all in all it was lovely. Bungo and his mother were such kind and lovely people . The shower rooms to the toilet was always clean and tidy. The location was great walking distance many places to eat. A highly recommended Resturant Bungo suggested was so good and booking is needed as it’s always packed. Nothing was impossible with the help of the both Bungo and his lovely mother.

We were a bit worried when the taxi driver was confused by the address, but when we pulled in he said 'ooo this is fancy' and he was right! The play space in the family suite was a cool addition to keep our little one busy. Nice soft beds compared to others we have stayed at.

Shower/hot tub room is big with very nice toiletries. We really like the shampoo and conditioner provided. Kitchen and laundry facilities are great. The stairs to upper level room is steep. typical old Japanese house, not much problem for us but people with knee problems should take note on this. Kenrokuen garden is walking distance but we need to walk up the hill to reach the park. We rented Noah mpv for our trip and the parking space is just nice to fit the car

The zen garden is wonderful and peaceful. The location could not be better — it’s a very short walk to all the sites. The host was tremendously hospitable. I couldn’t recommend this more!
