We had an amazing experience at this lovely hotel! From the moment we arrived, we were charmed by the greenery surrounding the property, felt like stepping into a peaceful paradise. It even rained heavily on our first day, which added to the charm and made the scenery even more magical the next morning. The bungalow was spacious of 2 stories, comfortable, and beautifully designed. There are only four bungalows on the property, which makes the atmosphere very private and serene. What really stood out was the team running the place. Though small and long working hours, they were super friendly, attentive, and professional. Everything from check-in to meals was handled with such care. Speaking of meals, the food was delicious! Every dish we had was fresh and full of flavor. they do breakfast on tray basis and not buffet since the number of guest are limited. They call you the night before to ask on the type each person would like to order.

I had a wonderful stay at this homestay in Ella. It’s located outside the busy tourist and restaurant area, in a peaceful setting where you can truly relax. At the same time, if you enjoy walking, the town is still within reach. The best part? The iconic Nine Arches Bridge is just a few steps away, and you can even see it from the property! The room was spotless, the bed was very comfortable, and I had warm water for showers. Fresh towels were also provided, which was a nice touch. The owners are incredibly kind and welcoming, always making sure I was comfortable and had everything I needed. They genuinely care about their guests, creating a warm and friendly atmosphere. The breakfast was another highlight—huge portions, delicious local flavors, and the freshest sweet fruits, all enjoyed with a stunning view. A lovely touch was the free pick-up from the train station on arrival and a drop-off at the bus station when I left. The owners also arranged a fair-priced transfer to a monastery and waterfalls, making my stay even more enjoyable. They also showed me around their tea plantation and prepare a delicious fair priced dinner for me upon mu arrival. Overall, I highly recommend this homestay. It offers a perfect balance of tranquility and accessibility, with wonderful hosts who make you feel at home. A great place to experience the local way of life in Ella!

This holiday home with mountain views features tiled floors, 1 bedroom and 1 bathroom with a hot tub, a bath or shower and slippers. Guests can take in the views of the lake from the balcony, which also has outdoor furniture. There is also a seating area and a fireplace. Very comfortable separate house with a great view and all facilities. It is a perfect place to relax on weekends, enjoy the silence and beautiful nature. The owner is very nice and helpful young lady and she cooked for us tasty breakfasts. We totally felt at home in this place.

The exceptional stylish and comfortable accommodation and beautiful gardens complimented the stunning views to Horton Plains NP , Udawalawe reservoir and the south coast . You awake each morning to the sound of birds while during the day it is so peaceful and relaxing . Thankfully no aircon needed here since the very fine insect screens allowed windows to be open to enjoy the fresh mountain air. We stayed in the deluxe suite downstairs which now has an additional dining area , and there are 3 lovely rooms upstairs . See the gorgeous pictures online . You can take a dip in the lovely pool or the owner Munira can suggest and help arrange other activities in the surrounding areas. Having driven for 5 weeks, this was a perfect spot to unwind . It was lovely to chat with Muni who built this wonderful property and all the staff who extended friendly and caring hospitality . Our best stay in Sri Lanka . Thank you Muni!

The Royo Rock Hotel lived up to its name, nestled within the mountains. Arriving at night, we were pleasantly surprised the next morning as the breathtaking views of the mountains unfolded before us. The scenery was remarkable, with invigorating fresh air and captivating trees. Just WOW !!! This was by far one of the best locations I have stayed at regarding the view. The view was mesmerizing overlooking the beautiful green mountains. The experience at the hotels was great as well. The staff was courteous and helpful. Our room was clean and fresh, providing a comfortable retreat. The hotel service was excellent, and the culinary experience was equally impressive. Both breakfast and dinner were delicious, adding to the overall positive stay. I would recommend The Royo Rock Hotel for those seeking a hidden gem in the mountains. Its stunning views, clean accommodations, excellent service, and delightful food offer a memorable experience for anyone looking to escape and unwind.
