What a beautiful relaxing place to stay. The staff are attentive and helpful. We arrived at 3pm and were able to have lunch and a drink on the patio enjoying the views up and down the river. Our room was very comfortable and clean with a large sliding door out onto a deck from where we could enjoy the views and a welcome drink. The pool was nice and refreshing to swim in after a day exploring. Breakfast was really nice with cooked on demand option of eggs and bacon along with a continental selection. The bed was comfortable with lovely bedding on it and the bathroom was very clean and serviced daily. Hint - it is difficult to find places to eat in the small township during the week that are open, we chose to eat in two out of three nights, the food was well cooked and tasty but not spectacular and on par with everything else in the area price / standard / recipie wise.

We love Casa do Prado Guesthouse because of its quiet atmosphere, lovely hosts, clean rooms, delicious breakfast, and convenient location. We were lucky to be proposed a free upgrade to their suite which was an absolutely beautiful accommodation wtih Jacuzzi, Terasse and all. The Douro Suites' garden peaceful garden, library blend perfectly with the stunning river & region itself.
