It’s a lovely boutique hotel in a great location. One of the rooms that I booked had unobstructed view of the lake which is awesome. The courtyard and terrace are a good place for gathering for those traveling in bigger group. All staff members of the property are pleasant, welcoming and helpful. The two ladies serving breakfast were superb in customer service; they cooked some veggies specifically for me upon knowing my dietary needs.

The staff at Guilin HeShe Lakeside Resort are beyond phenomenal. Melody and her team assisted my grandparents as if they were family. Besides the most amazing staff team, the surrounding views and scenery in this area is breathtaking, the rooms are just as seen on photos, and the room views are one of a kind. Melody and her team provided not only a place for my grandparents to stay, but a lasting memory of Guilin and the people you can potentially meet along your travels. The hotel managers recently opened this very nice hotel, and in spite of our late arrival, everybody was extremely helpful, and ready to serve us whatever food they had. Michelle and the rest of the staff made the best of our short visit to Guilin. They helped us organize all of our trips in the region, during a very complicated time (around the Chinese New Year). The hotel is about 15 to 20 minutes away from Guiling Bei (north) Railway station, but it's easy to take a cheap taxi to get there. The room was very comfortable and has a lovely view of the karst mountains of Guilin. From Guilin you can visit Yangshuo and Xingping either by bus or train (the train is much faster and very cheap). I really recommend this hotel to travelers who want to spend some quiet quality time in a delightful little town, surrounded by very nice people.

The staff is great. Prior to my arrival, communication was smooth—Melody speaks excellent English and provided all the information I needed about activities in Guilin. During my stay, Ms. Bai was incredibly kind. Despite her limited English, we managed to communicate easily with translation apps. She helped me find a nearby restaurant and we even shared a pleasant conversation over tea. The hotel’s facilities are modern, and my room had everything I needed. The hotel is a bit far from the city center, which could be inconvenient depending on your plans in Guilin. However, this is something you can easily see on the map before booking, so it wasn’t a surprise. Plus, the distance is compensated by mountain views and the peaceful surroundings. For me, it was completely worth it—after long days of exploring, the tranquility of the hotel and the nearby dining options made it the perfect place to relax.

The hotel, located in a village with scenic corners amid hills, offers a relaxed stay, and at the same time is only abt 10min car ride to city hot spots. The staff even help to handle our laundry which is very kind of them :)

The receptionists ( 2 young ladies ) were absolutely delightful. They tried to make our stay comfortable and gave us invaluable information. The only disappointment was that we could not get the 4 star VIP boat seats for the day we wanted, but they made sure that we did get the tickets for the next day!
