The host kindly agreed to allow me an early check in, and late check out, which helped me a lot. Very comfortable bed, everything is clean, two separate Bluetooth systems - in front of the bed and in the bathroom. The TV allows Chromecast, which is really useful. Everything is new. Noise-blocking window. Finally, air conditioning system. Not too far away (one or two bus stops) is a central street with lots of businesses and shopping centers.

Boasting a direct underground (subway) connection to Kurfürstendamm and the Zoologischer Garten, the Hotel Carolinenhof provides a central base for exploring Berlin’s shops and sights.

While this hotel is off the beaten path, it is highly accessible to the subway if you need to get to anywhere in Berlin. The benefits of the location in a quiet neighborhood with trees and birds outweigh any potential inconvenience. Plus the best Sichuan food I have eaten in decades is only a block aeay.
