We were made to feel very welcome and given good information about Bury St Edmunds, which we had never visited before.. The room was quite spacious, clean, with all the amenities one would expect. The shower water pressure was impressive! Breakfast choices were good and the food was well cooked and well presented.

This is an excellent place to stay in Bury St Edmunds, if more expensive than I usually like to pay. It is very central - not far from the bus station or from the railway station, and near all the sights. The staff are very friendly and the cooked English breakfast huge and very good.

The accomodation was excellent, nice size room and ensuite with a small living area as well which was more than we expexted. Breakfast was lovely and the staff really helpful. We know Bury St Edmunds quite well and the location of the Chantry is excellent just a few minuteswalk from the Abbey Gardens and 5 minutes into town. Parking was on site which is another bonus these days.

Wow! My first trip to England & Bury St Edmunds! Brimming with country English charm. Very old building with modern bathrooms. Located in the center of stores, coffee shops, Cathedral and gardens. Very walkable and friendly. Traditional English breakfasts, delicious and filling, set for the day! Great pub and the Sunday Roast is phenomenal! Don't miss! The manager & her staff were so accommodating, friendly and fun to share stories! I will return to The Bushel!
